Our love story
We matched on Hinge in summer 2019, and Peter showed up to our first date even though Christina was on crutches waiting for knee surgery. A few weeks later, Christina invited Peter on a 4-day houseboat trip with her friends - because nothing says romance like close quarters and an audience, right?
Somehow we survived the boat trip, then spent lockdown together in Christina's tiny condo with our cats Milly and Oreo (who immediately adopted Peter as their step-dad). Since then we've traveled the world, bought a house, and made annual canoe camping trips to Algonquin Park our thing.
In summer 2025, Peter proposed at Misty Lake during one of those camping trips. Now? We're getting married! 🎉
Travel tips
We know many of you will be travelling into the city to come celebrate, here are some travel tips and recommendations!
Hotels
We had room blocks at these three hotels for our guests:
- The Broadview Hotel (our venue!)
- Courtyard by Marriott Toronto Downtown
- Holiday Inn Express Toronto Downtown
The booking deadlines for our room blocks have passed, but the hotels may still have rooms available at their regular rates.
Getting around
The Broadview Hotel is located in our home neighbourhood in Toronto's east end!
public transit: the hotel is easily accessible via TTC streetcar, with two stops right outside the door! The closest subway station is Broadview Station on Line 2 (Green Line).
parking: street parking is available, but limited. We recommend using the Green P parking lot across the street on Broadview Ave.
Our wedding weekend happens to overlap with the Toronto Waterfront Marathon and there will be road closures – check their website for details! Expect traffic to be worse than usual getting in and out of the city.

Where do I RSVP?
Our RSVPs are all online (scroll up and click the big RSVP button), but if you have trouble with the form, please reach out to Christina or Peter!
What date should I RSVP by?
Please RSVP by September 1, 2026! This ensures we have time to finalize numbers with our vendors.
Is there a dress code?
Wear whatever makes you feel great! We want you to be comfortable and confident, whether that's in cocktail or formal attire, or something special to you! Please reserve white for the bride and burgundy for the groom. Cocktail hour is on the rooftop, so bring a layer in case it gets chilly!

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
We will mostly be indoors! However, cocktail hour will be on the rooftop terrace – sections of which are heated and covered.
Will there be road closures on the wedding weekend?
Yes! The Toronto Waterfront Marathon happens the same weekend, so expect road closures and heavier traffic getting in and out of the city. Check the race weekend page for details and give yourself extra time to get to the venue. The venue is also TTC accessible!
Is there parking available?
There's a Green P lot directly across the street from The Broadview, and the venue is also TTC accessible!
I'm visiting, where should I stay?
The deadline to book in our hotel room blocks has passed, but the hotels listed in the travel section may still have rooms available at their regular rates.
What's for dinner?
We'll be serving a 3-course plated dinner, you'll choose one of three plated entrées when you RSVP:
Stuffed Chicken Supreme — mushroom duxelles, roasted parsnip purée, baby potatoes, mini bell pepper, mushroom jus (Gluten Free)
Maple-Mustard Glazed Salmon — provençal ratatouille, baby potatoes, mustard-dill velouté, broccolini, salmon roe, herb oil (Gluten Free)
Eggplant Parmigiana — herb-roasted eggplant, tomato sugo, melted mozzarella, roasted baby potatoes, micro basil (Vegetarian — can be made vegan on request; please note it in your dietary restrictions)

Can I bring my kids?
We're keeping it adults-only, except for our nieces and nephews who are explicitly invited.
Can I bring a plus one?
We're limited by venue capacity, so plus ones are only included if you see the "bringing a guest" question when you RSVP.
What about gifts?
Your presence is the best present, please no gifts! We are so grateful that you have chosen to come celebrate with us! We'll have a card box if you'd like to share a note.
